Innocent Picture Upsets Lunatics
Apparently it is perfectly acceptable for little girls to copy bottle feeding but if they imitate the most perfect and natural relationship between mother and child all hell breaks loose.
Check out some of the comments made by the people that are most upset by the picture: Dailymailuk.
“Visitors have described the poster in Rochdale Infirmary, Lancashire, as ‘shocking’ and ‘highly offensive” “The picture is shocking and it isn’t normal.” “Children copy their parents but I don’t think any little girls should be breastfeeding their dolls.” “It should be up to new mums to decide whether to breastfeed, and they shouldn’t be pressurised into doing it.” “The trust seems to be more interested in chasing awards for promoting breastfeeding rather than supporting new mums.”
And my personal favorite:
“It is the sort of picture that a paedophile would show a kid to say look it is OK to do that because it is what grown-ups/mothers do. What next.”
Here are a few pics of children breastfeeding their dolls on Flickr. Following the pics are links to many, many more pics of children nursing their dolls (and dolls that breastfeed). How will the critics react to little BOYS copying their mothers if little girls feeding their dolls is compared to pedophilia?
The world must be coming to an end if we have a whole new generation of children who not only know the best way to feed a baby but also know the real purpose of breasts.

Seriously? This caused outrage? For crying out loud! I have tons of pictures of my sons nursing their baby dolls, I’ve even posted them on my blog. How is that a big deal? Little kids always copy what their moms do, including nursing. I think some people are just looking for something to be offended by.

Dear Summer,
I can’t believe some nut compared it to pedophilia.

Are they going to attack diaper changing next. It is a claim made from people who probably don’t have kids.

Wow, those comments were just plain stupid, and this was in the UK? you’d think they’d at least know better. Yeesh.
