1-888 for uswomen
This organization provides assistance to domestic violence victims that are living overseas allowing them to get safely back home. Being beaten by a loved one is horrible enough but it even more dangerous and helpless when an ocean separates you from your family and friends. This group gave me a hand when I was battered by my husband and living in Spain. Pregnant, overseas with increasing tensions and fearing for my life, 888-uswomen literally saved my life by giving me the resources to escape. I am eternally grateful. http://www.866uswomen.org

Is it just me or is Kiva totally addicting? Kiva pools the resources of many individuals to create business loans for men and women around the world. I can’t think of anything better than helping other people fund their dreams for independence. I tend to help my sisters around the world (with a special affinity for single mothers that own retail stores for some reason). My Kiva profile.
Saving Our Sons
This wonderful, volunteer based organization provides valuable information to expectant parents on routine male circumcision. The information packs includes both information on the benefits of remaining intact and also refutes the alleged health benefits of circumcision. If you are considering circumcising your son then I implore you to do all the research you can because I cannot conceive of a parent agreeing to this procedure if they have all the facts. You can donate as little as a dollar a month here.
