A MUCH BETTER BLOG

I am a feminist, humanist, lactivist, intactivist, breastfeeding, babywearing, cosleeping, EC and cloth diapering, unvaccinating, unassisted childbirthing, unschooling, going green, simple living, animal loving, entrepreneur, retail store owner, unmarried mother of two incredible girls and I coudn't be happier.

A Happy Deucer

Natural PregnancyApparently after all my years of partying in South Beach, I finally made SOBE history.

A girlfriend of mine was at the doctor yesterday and spied this picture of me in Ocean Drive Magazine. Recognizing the crazy lips and hair, called me up immediately and not wanting to wait for her to mail the paper, I found the online version of the article here.

Apparently Club Deuce, of which I was a somewhat regular patron over the years, came out with a photo book of many of their happy customers. I not only made the book cut but also the book write up cut in Ocean Drive so now I need to get a copy of both. I was a Happy Deucer. (and for heavens sake, could my skirt be any shorter??)

Oh my gosh…How awesome that your beauty will forever be imortalized in a book. You need to get a copy! Do you ever miss those days? BTW, it looks like the other person in the photo is totally checking out your butt.

P.s. I love you with bangs.

    Dear Heather,

I do have to get a copy of the book (and a copy of OD mag which can be hard to come by). I miss those days a little but I would feel ridiculous if I tried to go out and hit the town now. I really miss heels and strappy sandals though. What I wouldn’t give for a week of warm weather. I might have to come visit you if I want to go back to bangs. I haven’t had a decent haircut since I moved back up north. Now I am just plain terrified of all stylists. ;)
